The Scottish west coast is a vast, beautiful wilderness. It would take a lifetime to see it all, which is why we have carefully curated our itineraries into distinct journeys, each highlighting a unique chapter of this ancient landscape. Whether you are a first-time visitor or a returning guest, there is always a new secret to uncover.

The Inner Hebrides

The Inner Hebrides: A Mosaic of Islands With 36 inhabited islands, the Inner Hebrides are a land of myths and legends. We take you to the heart of this archipelago, from the colourful harbour of Mull to the mystical "Small Isles" of Eigg, Rum, Muck, and Canna. Every island has its own soul, one day you might be exploring the sacred history of Iona, and the next, marvelling at the geometric basalt columns of Staffa or the puffin-filled cliffs of the Treshnish Isles. Our cruises often call in at remote and idyllic anchorages in magnificent sea lochs such as Loch Sunart and Loch Linnhe, where the mountains meet the sea.

The Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness

The Caledonian Canal & Loch Ness Journey through the very heart of Scotland on this sheltered, 60-mile voyage along the Great Glen. This is a coast-to-coast adventure that combines engineering marvels with serene Highland beauty. Navigate the famous Neptune’s Staircase, a series of 8 locks that lift the vessel 70 feet and cruise the deep, mysterious waters of Loch Ness. From the ruins of Urquhart Castle to the quiet, tree-lined reaches of Laggan Avenue, this route is perfect for those who love calm waters, historic sites, and the chance to spot red squirrels and golden eagles.

The Outer Hebrides, St Kilda and the Northwest Coast

The Outer Hebrides, St Kilda & NW Coast Beyond the Minch lies a chain of over 100 islands that feel like another world. The west coast is a dreamscape of endless white shell-sand beaches, while the east is a rugged labyrinth of sea lochs. We’ll guide you through the iconic islands of Barra, Harris, and the Uists, as well as hidden gems like the Shiants and the hauntingly beautiful, uninhabited Mingulay. The St Kilda Voyage: Lying 41 miles out into the North Atlantic from North Uist, St Kilda is a dual UNESCO World Heritage site and a bucket-list experience for many. Because safety comes first in these wild waters, we operate 10-day expeditions to ensure the best weather window. Our goal is always to spend at least one night anchored in Village Bay, allowing you ample time to explore the sea stacks and evocative ruins.

The Southern Hebrides and Northwest Ireland

Southern Hebrides & Northern Irish Coast This unique journey explores the strong Celtic roots shared between the Southern Hebrides and the North of Ireland. We head south from Oban, passing the picturesque Crinan, before crossing the North Channel to the Emerald Isle. Highlights include the birdlife of Rathlin Island, the legendary basalt columns of the Giant’s Causeway, and the soaring cliffs of Slieve League. On the return journey, we explore the famous whisky isle of Islay and the rugged coastline of Jura, offering a perfect blend of dramatic scenery and warm hospitality.
